Jugglers’ mission is to facilitate the health and growth of the core creative human spirit. A core activity that grows out of that mission is providing affordable and subsidised studio spaces. Occupancy is decided on by the Director, staff and other artists in residence on the presentation of an artist’s CV. Studio leases are a legal agreement between the artist and Jugglers. Application for temporary waiver or change of fees can be arranged on application to the Director. Most residencies are from 3 months – 2 years.
The current subsidised weekly rental is $73.25* including electricity. Tenants are required to pay one month’s rent in advance, in addition to a $50 refundable key deposit. Rent must be paid on the 1st of every calendar month. Monthly rental is exclusive of GST.

All visual artists except those working in very heavy materials or with dangerous chemicals are eligible to apply. Applicants must be able to commit to a two-year period of residency, and must treat studio rental responsibilities as a priority.
Successful applicants are chosen on the basis of quality of work, perceived potential, space requirements and financial status. The organisation also attempts to create a balance of media, gender and age in the studio artist body.
