Attention art lovers and activists extraordinaire! Amnesty International’s ARTillery Festival is returning to Brisbane and we’re serious…ly just as awesome as we were last year.

We’ll be holding a three day exhibition at Jugglers Art Space in Fortitude Valley from the Friday 9th December until Sunday 11th December. During that time we’ll be showcasing a number of local artists whom will be using Amnesty’s Individuals at Risk campaign as inspiration for works of mixed media including painting, sculpture, film, photography and installation among others. We’ll also have a number of local musicians setting the mood for what should be the greatest art/music/activism night of the year!

In addition we’re setting up a few activities for people to take part in, including badge making, letter writing to political prisoners abroad, petition signing for the Iranian Women’s movement and a celebration of Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary. It’s going to be a lot of fun, that is our guarantee.

The evening of the 9 December is our opening night and we’re having a party! Included is free snacks, endless music, a bar for purchasing drinks, and enough art to make your eyeballs explode in inspirational joy. So make sure to mark that night in your calendar. It would be great if you take a couple of minutes to invite as many of your friends and family as possible we’d appreciate that greatly. We look forward to seeing you and your friends at MasterPEACE!
